INTRODUCTION TO THE
1999 ICA SENSE-MAKING WORKSHOP

In May of 1999, a second Sense-Making Workshop was held at the International Communication Association (ICA) in San Francisco, California, USA which focused on “Methodology between the Cracks: Sense-Making as Exemplar.” The workshop invited presentations from those focusing on Sense-Making and/or related approaches or problematics. The procedures for the workshop were themselves derived from Sense-Making theory and methodology. This page presents the contents of the working papers compilation developed and used by the participants at the workshop. The links will lead you to descriptions of the workshop, a supporting essay, and abstracts of presentations.
