INTRODUCTION TO THE
1996 ICA SENSE-MAKING WORKSHOP

In May of 1996 a Sense-Making Workshop was held at the International Communication Association (ICA) in Chicago, IL: USA which focused on Sense-Making as Theory, Method, Practice. The workshop invited presentations from those focusing on Sense-Making and/or related approaches or problematics. The workshop not only focused on Sense-Making as an approach, the procedures for the workshop were themselves derived from Sense-Making theory and methodology.
